30 pages a day

National Novel Writing Month starts on November first. So that gives you just over 3 weeks to work out your plot devices, and plan those twist endings. Write 50,000 words and they'll let you print off a certificate that say's you did just that. I know that you are thinking that you could just type a certificate that reads "Writer of 50,000 Words" and save your self the trouble. But you don't want to miss your chance to be the guy at the party that's always going on about the book he wrote.

Funny How Everything Returns to Childhood

The more things that happen in my life, the more I have to write about, and the less time I have to write about them. I find when stuck in this rut, lists are the things I write most.

A few ideas:
  • 5 best ages so far
  • Favorite foods from childhood
  • Movies I could watch for 24 hours straight
  • Stamps to carve
  • Best character names for self-indulgent novel
  • Quirks for said characters
  • Favorite words

Living proof that Blogs don't solve everything. I'm hear to say that it's been harder than I thought to get my three pages but I'm still pushing through and kicking ass. I wish I had the time to write 30 pages a day, ten subjects, 3 pages a piece. Here is a list of the 9 other things I would have liked to write about today.

1. Future Pets
2. Action Movie bit about newspaper disposal
3. Creature by Andrew Zuckerman
4. Pineapple, the king of fruits? Yes.
5. Mike Relm
6. Tequila
7. TechnoNinja Mercenaries
8. BeRelaxed, back on shelves!
9. 5 meals a day vs 3 meals a day

also, dinosaurs, I don't really want to write about dinosaurs, but I think they belong on a list as awesome as the one above.

...it was mostly pictures.

I had to catch up on the weekend by completing 6 pages today. I eloquently procrastinated about it for most the day until I had the strong urge to draw pictures (someone got me started on it late last night). So I drew about my day and it was incredibly fulfilling.

Meaningless Musings

Writing tonight was more of a drunken and self indulgent mirror image of myself than a creative process. Musings on which constellations our sun is a part of when viewed from other worlds. I like to imagine we're in somewhat of a starfish pattern.

3 pages down, 177 to go

actually, 2 pages down, but I promise I'll finish the last one tomorrow. Maybe I'll write five just to bank a page for when I'm lazy in the future. Yeah that's right, I'm anticipating procrastination.
